Retsch "Kuhn" model tenor & tenor bass trombone
RetschKuhn model made from 1979 to 1995, when the current president, Mr. Nienaber, joined the workshop.
[Overview]
Retsch tenor bass trombone with 220mm yellow brass bell with 10mm wide nickel trim. Slide bore size Weite 3 : 12.9-13.4mm. Nickel outer slide. Mouthpiece receiver is small shank. Equipped with tuning tube, slide end crook snake ornament, and long water key. Tenor bogen included. Lacquered finish. Comes with hard case, probably made in 1980's.
[Condition.]
Bell flare, small dent repair mark on the body of the bell, and some lacquer drops. There is a small shallow dent on the side of the slide end tube (as is). Only the slide barrel has been re-coated with lacquer. Rotary has been disassembled, cleaned, soft parts replaced, and all parts inspected.

The new arrival was made after the current president, Mr. Nienaber, joined the workshop (1979) in addition to the predecessor Herbert Recche. There was no official model name at that time, but the tube winding and layout correspond to the so-called Kuhn type. The current SL-270 model seems to be the closest to the "New Lecce" with full flow valve designed by Mr. Nienaber after 1995, but it is one with strong characteristics of the Lecce sound of the past.
The default slide bore of SL-270 is Weite 2::12.4-12.9mm, bell material: gold brass.
