Guitar maker Richard Levitch worked under Sam Koontz until he went out on his own to build hand made electric guitars. This serial number 00005. It is a Mahogany body with Flame maple top and three piece Flamed maple neck. Pickups are a Schaller 59 humbucker and two BHM(Brian May) singles. The bridge is either Schaller of Gotoh with roller saddles. Tuning machines are Grover but are not original. Electronics are wired to a three way toggle and four controls with two being push/pull and are wired to provide a wide range to tones. Pots are dated 1979 and the Schaller pickup is dated 1986. The medium rounded neck has a 1 11/16" nut and 23 frets showing only light wear and has nice snowflake style inlays. The guitar had just been set up with 10 gauge strings. There are two filled holes on the front of the guitar wear I suppose some sort of pick guard was mounted. The guitar weighs 7lbs., 13oz. It shows various signs of wear but has no cracks, breaks or repairs. This guitar will ship in the hard shell case as shown.
