This is the upscale version of George Lowden’s famous Original Series mahogany guitar, this one in rosewood and both with cedar tops. George is one of the very few guitar makers today with something truly new, and different, and of exceptionally high quality to say with his instruments. They’re not Martin copies, they’re not Gibson copies, they’re not anyone’s copies at all, and they’re anything but different just for the sake of being different. Built with extremely well-thought out design they are light, have timeless strength, and are so beautifully balanced as to make one get lost in the playing of them. This particular instrument is a medium size "F" with a cutaway, with Indian rosewood back and sides and a fine-grained cedar top for an extraordinarily clean, crisp, and surprisingly deep tone, and so much of it. $3995 w/hsc
