From the workshops of George Lowden, in Northern Ireland, almost thirty years ago and a total delight in every way. I’ve said it before and don't mind saying it again: Lowden guitars are amongst the very few steel-string guitars, ever, that have something truly new to say, of exceedingly high quality. Those of you who have played them don’t need to be told; they’ere lightweight, extremely well-built, have a strong, assertive and airy tone, and are just a total joy to play, especially for all you fingerpickers out there. Of a just-smaller-than-jumbo size but of the jumbo shape, this Lowden has rosewood back and sides, a spruce top, ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, and all the soul of the other side of the Atlantic. One dent in the finish on the top is the only cosmetic mark; we found the teeniest little split on the top edge of the soundhole, nicely dealt with, and that's about it. This is a 100% solid, simply fall-in-love Lowden, and at a great price. Comes with its original sales receipt and Lowden brochure from 1988. $1995 w/ohsc
