Up for sale, a 1970's Maestro MPF-1 Parametric Filter in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Part of Maestro's "Total Foot Control" series of pedals designed by Bob Moog for Norlin (parent company of Gibson in this era), the MPF-1 is a unique effect, offering up to 20db of boost for a frequency range which can be selected by the central knob and righthand dial. This pedal has three settings that apply the filtering to your natural guitar tone, and two settings which augment the filtering with a churning, thick overdrive. Notably used by Alex Lifeson of Rush, but perhaps most extensively utilized by Josh Homme on Queens of the Stone Age's Rated R album, the MPF-1 is built in a rugged aluminum enclosure with controls that can all be easily tweaked by your foot, providing a sonic flexibility lacking in most pedal designs.

The enclosure is in fantastic shape, and the pedal operates exactly as it should, with only a few small chips in the lightly textured black paint on the edges and light scuffing central to the top of the pedal. The rubber feet on the bottom of the pedal are on adjustable rails, presumably to mount on different surfaces with ease. The rear battery cover is missing, but it's still very easy to secure a battery inside the large enclosure.
