Beautiful Reyes 1974 Blanca Flamenco style guitar in excellent condition and her red velvet lined original hard case. Beautiful, brilliantly crafted, and incredible tone from this vintage beauty in excellent original condition. There's a few braces reglued, some very small stable repaired cracks shown, and some finish removed in the repair area which should be a straightforward French Polish touch up to get this beauty back to perfect form. The instrument has little play or handling wear and is very clean and a brilliant example from one of the worlds Master Class classical Flamenco makers.

Manuel Reyes Sr 1974 flamenco guitar.
Manuel Reyes Maldonado of Cordoba was born in Jayena, Granada, on July 18th 1934. He began making guitars in 1949 and had some verbal guidance from Joaquin Sánchez Galisteo of Cordoba and from Marcelo Barbero of Madrid. Manuel Reyes is considered to be the greatest and most sought-after contemporary flamenco builders in the world. He is known for his excellent workmanship and authentic Andalusian flamenco sound. His guitars have been played by dozens of flamenco professionals all over the world, perhaps the most notably being Vicente Amigo. With health issues, Reyes Sr. is no longer producing instruments making these existing guitars incredibly rare and collectable.
This Blanca sounds so sweet, beautiful and lyrical, melodically, it sings like a human voice, when played hard it awakens with a intensive bite. As sweet as the tone is, rasguedos still explode as fired by a machine gun. This guitar is a true masterpiece, in Excellent condition, very easy to play, amazing volume, strong flamenco basses and percussive trebles and could easily please the most discriminating player or collector.
