Here we have a classic, and pretty rare Marshall 100 watt Plexi head. It doesn't say JMP, just Super Tremolo 100W. The head is a factory 32 MF filter cap head, with only 1 can mounted on the chassis- when I got it the amp had 100MF caps installed, but there were wires run here and there, the original circuit was laid out for dual 32's, which made me think it was later 1967, but some folks have said they thought 1968, so here you go. Plexi back panel, and looks like a steel chassis. The main power supply caps have been replaced (with 32mf's), the others are factory. The tone components are all original. When I got this amp the power transformer was a 70's 100 watt Marshall- I ordered a 360 volt laydown from Mercury and installed it. The output and choke are factory. The tremolo works, and sounds pretty good, and pretty interesting. We will supply the proper din connector should you wish to make a foot switch. No holes drilled in the front and back panels, 2 small holes internally where the 70's standup transformer was mounted. One fuse hold is replaced. Overall the head is in nice shape cosmetically and electronically.
I love the way it sounds, it's responsive to touch, and to the volume control. When I first cranked it up it was very first Allman Brothers album sounding. I have not done a whole lot of tweaking or servicing, just the basic stuff to get it healthy and working, and you may have a tech that can take it to a new height- to me, I love it, and wish I could keep them all. Thanks for looking!
