Description

About the nicest older, smaller Martin that can be found. From very early in 1942, probably started at the Martin factory sometime in late 1941, before the war broke out. In 100% structural condition with a perfect, easy action and its original frets and original genuine ivory saddle intact and never cut or fooled with; very slight neck reset done here in our own shop. Deep rich tone for days, typical of old Martins with mahogany tops. Expected small nicks and scratches here and there and one tiny spot on the lower bout beautifully repaired, on the non-money side and almost impossible to see. Extremely cool and rare tortoiseshell celluloid peghead veneer, same material as the pickguard is made from, cool original 3-on-a-strip tuners as well. All in all a terrific, essentially pre-war Martin 0-size guitar, comforting as the easy chair you grew up with in your Grandma's home. With new top-notch hard shell case. $4495 w/hsc
