1955 Martin 0-15

This guitar is packed with mojo. We found her with a couple of other guitars in an estate sale of a former guitarist. She was obviously well used-but well loved. The decades-aged, all mahogany body has a resonance that you cannot get from any other combination of woods. She rings and sings. We couldn’t resist picking this one up. We knew a real guitar aficionado would appreciate the tone and the vibe. Yes, there are some dings and doinks, a patch of buckle rash, and some well-earned finish crackle. But each adds to the story and the character and serves to only enhance the mojo of this guitar. We wouldn't and didn't change a thing. She is structurally sound-looks like a slight drop fill on the center seam on the lower bout (all very professionally done-nearly unnoticeable) and the mark from a previous strap pin at the headstock.. Other than that, no cracks or breaks or issues. You will not find another 0-15 that sounds any better than this beauty. We’ve done a complete clean, polish and full set up. All parts appear original except it looks like a new bone saddle was added at some point (giving you as much room as you need to dial in your own perfect set up-should you choose to). The current action is very comfortable and the frets still have plenty of life. We love the way it plays. The 0-size is so light and easy to manage. Comes in a period chipboard case in good condition. ’52 was a good year and this guitar is a reflection of the craftsmanship that spanned that decade. And hey, it’s a Martin; Great materials and great construction, equals a wonderful guitar!
