Description

The 0-15, in all its plainness, was pretty much Martin's entry level guitar, but by no means a less quality instrument than other offerings in the Martin line up. The 15 (and sibling 17) series Martins are prized by finger pickers today for their tone and ease of play.

The 0-15 sports an all mahogany body, mahogany neck, Brazilian fingerboard, bridge and head stock overlay and ebony nut. Scale length is a hair under 25", and the fingerboard measures 1 5/8" across at the nut.

The guitar is in solid original condition. The neck was recently reset, and the pick guard removed and re-glued due to typical curl. Frets were leveled and dressed. Original individual tuners. There are no cracks in the top or back. The lower treble bout has a small hole, likely from an input jack, and two short cracks at the waist. The bass side waist has a crack. The finish is original, and shows the effects of wear and crazing. There is a strap button in the heel. (See more photos on our web site)

The guitar plays extremely well, and produces a tone not expected from a small, mahogany box. Great sustain and rich, round tones from each string.

This guitar offers value and quality to a finger style guitarist, or old-timey picker, and could be the perfect travel or vacation guitar for a serious player. Comes with a new hard case.
