This is a Martin 0-17 guitar made in 1944 during the scalloped, lightweight, ebony rod period. Natural satiny finish, original tuners with new buttons, original bridge plate, bridge looks original, great setup (4 and 3 32nds) and string width at bridge is about 2-1/4". The nut is 1-11/16" and the neck is straight. I just had it to my luthier for a check over and set-up. It didn't need a neck set just set -up and it plays like butter. About an 1/8" inch of saddle. It has one patch on the bass side as seen in the pictures. It came to me in a bonus 1930's era 0 sized soft case which is probably worth 2-300 dollars by itself. There is a K&K passive pickup installed that works well.
The tone, feel, and loudness of this guitar is phenomenal. These scalloped era small bodied Martins are really special!!!
