A Marin tenor guitar this early is a pretty rare thing, especially one this nice. The 0-17T model was made from 1932-1961, so this is one of the earliest examples and it is a truly great one. Of all-mahogany construction, as 17-series Martin guitars were, it’s in beautiful all-original condition other than the bridge and saddle having been trimmed a wee bit in the distant past to get the action just so; even the bridge pins are original and extremely cool, different than modern ones. Being from 1935, it’s got to be one of the very last Martins ever, of any model, to still have the older-style bar frets, and they’re in terrific condition and play so very cleanly, as these do when they’re right. Original Grover tuners, with ultra-rare dark marbled buttons, insanely different and insanely cool. Some modest playing wear (after all, it is more than eighty years old), and no repairs needed ever; no cracks, no neck reset, just a rock-solid, totally lovely little heartthrob of a pre-war Martin tenor guitar, waiting for its next player. And it’s LOUD. Rarer still, an original hard shell case, never see this on these models. $2895 w/ohsc
