Description

This is a gorgeous Amberburst 0M-18A Vintage Tone System (VTS) with a K and K mini pickup installed that sounds, well, Authentically acoustic…

Martin made this extremely realistic and historically accurate Authentic by means of a original copy that was on loan from Fred Oster of Vintage Instruments. They put this guitar through a CAT-scanner in the Smithsonian Institute to take the exact measurements down to the tiniest detail.

This OM-18A consists of mahogany sides and back, paired with an Adirondack spruce top and an Authentic 1933 “Barrel and Heel” mahogany neck with T-bar, constructed entirely with Hide-glue. The top is supported by an Adirondack X-brace and, along with the ebony bridge with long saddle, is the final piece of the puzzle that makes this OM18 sound so ‘Authentic’. The sound is perfectly balanced with deep basses and clear highs. This Martin is further dressed in a warm Ambertone finish with features such as the striking black binding, tortoise pickguard, dot fingerboard inlays, Waverly machine heads and the classic script Martin logo. The condition of this guitar is Mint and I don’t say that lightly. Even the pickguard has no marks and I cannot find a mark anywhere else. The neck is a little under .900″ thick at the first fret and the action at the 12th fret is 3 x 2.5 32nds. It has a Tortoise Pickguard, Black Binding, and a Multi-Stripe Rosette. The Neck wood is Mahogany. The Neck Profile is rounded C and the Ebony Fingerboard Radius is16″ . The Neck is Detailed with Old Style 18 Abalone Inlay, Rosewood Headstock Overlay Nut width is 1-3/4″ and the string spacing at the bridge is 2-3/8″ The scale is 25.4″ Tuners: Waverly Nickel Open Gears with a K and K mini pickup that sounds just clear and woody…Great guitar!!!
