Martin 0-28 1899

Here's a Martin 0-28 from 1899. Serial #8410. 100% original guitar, that's never had a neck re-set. "99" is written in pencil on the inside of the top, and "MARTIN" is stamped into the back of the headstock. There's a few professionally repaired cracks on the top, one repaired crack on the side, while the rest of the guitar is crack and repair free! Scalloped braced, Adirondack spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back & sides, Ebony fingerboard & bridge, and original ivory friction tuners, that work great! The guitar measures 13.5" wide at the bout, 4 3/16" in depth, 24.9" scale length, and is 12 frets clear of the body. The neck has a V profile, and feels great in your hands. The guitar is currently strung up with Silk & Steels, and plays well at the first few frets. The action starts to raise as you go down. This is the perfect candidate to for a neck re-set, if you wanted low action. The guitar has a beautiful warm & mellow tone (especially with Silk & Steels). Amazing example!!
