This possesses the loud clear sound these small bodied Martins are known for. Not D-28 boomy loud, but an articulate tone that projects well into a room.
Beautiful dark chocolate straight grained Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The detail of the abalone work is exquisite.
Includes the rare original green lined case, with the postage stamp intact from its Martin verified return to the factory in 1973 for maintenance. Truly the worst time to send a guitar into any factory for repair, this beauty received a very light body only overspray, the 1970’s de rigueur oversized Brazilian Rosewood bridge plate, & a slightly oversized bridge: both since meticulously replaced in 2015 by one of the top Martin restoration luthiers in the US. The upside to that fateful decision is the resulting 35% drop in cost to prospective buyers compared to an untouched example.
