Description

Nice original Martin 00-18 from 1955. It has no cracks, sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, the neck was just re-set and action was perfectly set-up, original bridge, bridge-plate, tuners, and finish. This is a one or two owner guitar since 1955. The action is 3/32nds at the 6th string,12th fret and the 1st is at 2/32nds. The string width measurement at the bridge is 2-3/16″ wide with the nut being, of course, 1-11/16″. The neck measures about .900″ in thickness at the first fret. it is strung with EJ16 D’Addario’s and sounds very loud, easy to play, and articulate across the tone spectrum. The 00-18 black-lights very well with no indication of overspray. The headstock has some finish bubbling that seems to be from a heat source. The guitar in general has 67 years of scratches, dings, and scrapes from being loved but that’s it…. Nice hard shell case with purple interior that is in good shape. Listen to demo with headphones if you have them…one of the best examples out there!!!
