1965 Martin 00-18 w/hard case #201013
Martin 00-18s have long been a favorite of finger pickers and this instrument is a good example of why that is the case. The guitar has a balanced voice across its tonal range and very good volume/projection. The intonation is good all over the board and the action is comfortably at 7/64" at the low E and 5/64" at the high E (12th fret) with saddle left to lower the action if desired. The neck is straight under tension of light gauge strings and the angle is perfect (it's had the neck angle reset at some point in the past). The frets are in good shape, virtually no wear, fret board shows light wear in the first position. The tuners are replacements, modern Waverlys, not original but considerably higher quality than the original Grover G-98s. There is a K & K passive pickup installed in the guitar. The bridge is a Martin factory replacement (Brazilian). All of the interior bracing is original including the bridge plate. The finish shows typical handling wear all over and the top shows a fair amount of play wear, some through to the wood with some light 'wash board' texture to the top where the wear is heaviest. There is a strap button installed in the very end of the heel. The instrument appears to be entirely crack free, which is a rare thing. Needs nothing. If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned. Once an item is returned to Kovacik Guitars and judged to be in the same condition as when originally sold a full refund will be issued.
