1972 Martin 00-18 Excellent, Hard, $2,995.00

This Martin 00-18 was Allison Moorer’s main performing Martin guitar for many years, and she has asked us to pass it on to a new, loving owner, on her behalf. Allison toured for many years with Steve Earle, and it was this Martin that she used most on stage, all over the world. It’s seen many thousands of miles and a lot of use, but having been built during the time period of some of the strongest Martins ever made it has held up wonderfully. There were a few very minor top cracks that we solidified; some fairly deep but not serious playing wear (Allison’s) near the tip of the pickguard and a few dents in the finish; and some noticeable fret wear (also Allison’s), but the guitar somehow seems to play just beautifully, in every way. Its tone is all Martin, all the way, as strong and robust as you can imagine after all that playing; it is absolutely tops. This Martin comes with a custom Calton road case (in Pony Pink, Allison’s personal choice), the world’s absolute best case and a thousand-dollar value right there, and also with a fleece-lined case cover for the case. There’s even an active Fishman pickup system already installed, so it’s road-ready for all you pickers out there, or just to just sit at home with and enjoy immensely.
