1929 Martin 00-28. An amazing pre-war instrument with a warm, focused tone. Features an Adirondack Spruce top with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Herringbone binding and scalloped x-bracing for a lively top and nice low end. Original finish is intact with French polish touch-up. 1 of only 51 made in 1929, this 00-28 is properly reconditioned, with a neck reset, fret dress, and professionally repaired side crack, making this not only desirable as a collectible high-end vintage Martin, but a great player for many years to come. The great playing v-shaped Mahogany neck is topped with an ivoroid bound Ebony fingerboard with beautiful slotted diamond inlays. The roomy 1-7/8″ nut width is very comfortable and amazing for fingerstyle playing. This very early pre-war Martin is truly a piece of history! Includes non-original hardshell case.
