Description

Pre war Martins are truly the Stradivarius of the guitar world. When taking into account the craftsmanship, materials, rarity, design, and most of all sound- you know that statement rings true. 000 size Martins from this era have exploded in popularity and desirability in the last two years as microphone quality has improved for gigging and many realized what articulate instruments these are for recording. Many a professional songwriter in Nashville utilizes these 000's regularly as well. Also, a large amount of aging pickers find these to be easier on their elbows, hands, and shoulders than their dreadnought body counterparts. This particular instrument is from the absolute golden era at Martin, 1939. It has zero cracks and a completely original finish! 78 years and a lot of love have given this guitar a beautiful patina and character but it remains in remarkable condition. No cracks and no finish work in a pre war Martin is a real rarity! It also retains the original hand scalloped x bracing under the Adirondack spruce top. Original ebony fretboard and bridge are original. Small maple bridge plate that looks original. It is the exact correct shape, size, position, and wood type to be the original plate. Original tuners and pickguard round this one out. Upon first strum the sound is awe inspiring. Note separation, clairity, volume, sustain. Nothing in the world sounds like a pre war Martin. Truly the tone is what sells these guitars. This handmade in Nazareth, Pennsylvania treasure is housed in a deluxe Guardian brand hard shell case. Playability is impeccable and this one needs nothing but a new owner. 15,200 dollars.
