This 1965 Martin 000-18 is delightfully clean, all original, and freshly serviced by a top luthier. The guitar surfaced in unmodified, excellent condition. The original open back Grover tuners, bridge and bridge plate are still in place. The original chipboard case still has some old string packets and picks in the neck pocket.
The original lacquer finish shows only minor wear from light use and handling. On the side rim of the upper bout you’ll notice a rub mark from going in and out of the case. The original frets are full height with no wear evident. Just back from a neck reset to provide an effortless playing experience. My luthier also repaired the typical pickguard crack - no other cracks were identified.
Martin’s 000-18 model makes an excellent choice as a primary acoustic guitar for diverse musical styles, with excellent volume and tone. This amazing 1965 000-18 has a sweet and musical voice.
