Description

1959 Martin 000-28 in very good condition. This is a wonderful guitar perfect for the player who wants a 60 year old Brazilian rosewood guitar for less than half the usual price. This guitar was modified over the years mostly in the 1960s from our understanding. It was a one owner guitar and was played extensively. The modifications are: scalloped bracing very neatly done and it looks proper, herringbone top trim, new fingerboard with fancy inlays, Waverly tuners, replaced pickguard, replaced bridge, top finish oversprayed. The guitar is structurally solid and has a wonderful sound. The scalloping of the braces was a common practice in the 1960s, think Neil Young's D-45 which he had scalloped immediately upon getting it. Playability is excellent with plenty of saddle should you want the action even lower. A tremendous amount of vintage guitar for the money. Includes hard case.
