Serial # 1162071. Martin’s Eric Clapton Signature 000-28EC is the company’s best selling signature model and the only high-end short scale version of the 000-28 currently being made. This example, built in 2006, is a wonderful sounding guitar and has nicely opened up. It’s deep and dark thanks to its short scale neck, has warm mid-range and a nicely developed pallet of overtones.

Indian rosewood back and sides mated to a Sitka spruce top with scalloped braces; herringbone trim and matching rosette, ivoroid bindings, gloss finished with sunburst top, beveled-edge pickguard, and zigzag backstrip. The neck has a modified V carve with a nut width of 1-3/4” and a scale length of 24.9”. Bone nut and saddle, gloss headstock overlay with old-style logo, vintage style tuners, and slotted diamond fingerboard inlays.

In nearly perfect condition, the guitar shows no fretwear, no playwear, dings or scratches, and is set up with a low fingerstyle action.

With original hard shell case.
