This is the oldest & finest example of a genuine Herringbone model “1-28” Martin we have ever had, its a definite Museum Quality example like no other, its overall originality & exceptional condition is simply stunning for the 105 years on this planet, its small dimensions were rather large in its time as compared with when it was produced pre-WW1, its Spruce Top is as nice as any w/a wonderful patina going on its Brazilian back & sides have a really deep rich striped look about them, only 1 tiny crack on the lower right bout of its spruce top that is not visible in any photo, its completely repair free, its V shaped neck is quite comfy, its 3 on a side set of tuning machines work pretty damn well, its ebony fingerboard has 5 small snowflake inlays & she has a perfect neck set, its pyramid Bridge has just been reinstalled & set up perfectly, its Herringbone top trim is what this is all about as its in excellent wearing a set of nylon strings, she exhibits a very deep growly tone from its bass side & is an amazing guitar in all respects, this is a rare opportunity to acquire such a clean very early 20th Century Martin that is a once in a lifetime find, she is exceptionally clean & comes with its original 105 year old Leather Soft Shell case & an oversized hard case.
