1959 Martin A Mandolin Excellent, Original Soft, $795.00

From about as early in 1959 as can be (build started in late 1958) comes this lovely, virtually unplayed Martin Style A mandolin, to us from the family of the original owner. This instrument is so untouched, and has been for so long, that not only did it still have the original factory strings on it (you can ask us later how we know this, and we saved them for you), it was still in tune. This mandolin appears to have been bought new, put away after a few days, and that was that. Also still has its serial-numbered Martin factory hang tag and original Martin tissue paper from being packed to leave the factory, all still in the original chipboard case.
