I am a huge fan of this model, so much so that this is the fourth example I have managed to get my hands on (three for my inventory and one for myself). This is a 12-fret Martin D-28 slope, part of a limited 50 piece run the Martin Custom Shop did in 2012. This lovely, 12-fret Slope D has: an Italian Alpine Spruce top; back and sides made of figured Madagascar Rosewood; a select Mahogany modified V-shape neck; a Black Ebony fret board with 16" radius, diamond and square inlays and a 1 11/16" bone nut; a slotted headstock with side-mounted Waverly tuners; and a Black Ebony vintage belly bridge with drop-in long bone saddle and 2.25" string spacing. This is an incredibly flexible instrument suitable for flat pickers and finger style players alike. The tone and output of this instrument is amazing. This guitar is in near mint condition too, with just the light play and handling wear and no observable fret wear. It comes with it's original Geib style case and paperwork. If you have been looking for an extremely lush sounding 12-fret instrument with plenty of punch, here is your guitar! Instead of spending up to $7K on a Martin D-28 Authentic 1931 model, compare the specs with this guitar and then decide for yourself. Highly recommended!
