Description

Here we have a 1998 Martin Custom D-41 that’s everything it should be and more. In Excellent, lightly played condition, with just one ding on the butt of the guitar. This one has the sound you want in a Martin dreadnaught: powerful, complex, and great volume as well. The 41-style trim and old-style headstock inlay on the guitar make it a real looker, but it’s the sound that really stands out. Think Neil Young Harvest and After the Gold Rush albums.

Gold Martin tuners. Comfortable 1 11/16 inch bone nut. Mahogany neck with a 25.4 inch radius and a neck depth of .85 inches at the first fret and 1.05 inches at the twelfth fret. Bound Ebony fingerboard with a 16 inch radius and 20 frets in good condition. Ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle. Lovely straight grained Spruce top. Fancy 41-style Hex fingerboard inlays and vertical Martin logo inlaid on the headstock. Multi-colored back strip.

If you’re looking for a Martin dread that can cover all the bases from folk to bluegrass to anything in the singer-songwriter milieu, this D-41 will serve you well. Comes with its original hardshell case.
