This an untouched, literally, nearly brand-new Martin Custom Shop 00-size 12-fret guitar with stunning tonewoods and appointments to match. Based on an original 00-42 model from the 1930s, it’s got correct hand inlaid abalone trim around the edge of the top, the end of the fingerboard, and the soundhole rosette; it’s also got the original pre-war 45-style “snowflake” fingerboard inlays and the “CF Martin" block letters inlaid in abalone shell on the peghead. Nicely understated and a very cool bonus: style-35 b/w side inlay inboard of the top and back bindings. Now here’s the real part: beautiful, straight-grained Guatemalan rosewood back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top, scalloped top bracing along with all the other buzzword inside stuff that everyone wants.
