Group of Bigsby Templates. This is a rare collection of Paul Bigsby's templates, once in the possession of Ted McCarty and then Dave Westerbeke. These templates were an integral part of Bigsby's custom instrument building process, showcasing multiple pickguard and body designs created for various customers. Many of the templates are marked with the names of the musicians and customers for whom these instruments were built, adding a unique historical element to the collection. As historical artifacts, these templates are not just collectibles; they are an essential piece of the legacy of custom guitar making. Included in the grouping is a signed letter from Paul Bigsby written in 1960 confirming the shipment of "60 Modern Tunings" by Paul Bigsby that was custom ordered customer Eugene Allen. The booklet is also included. McCarty is featured with these templates in the book "The Story of Paul Bigsby". The book gives photo credits to Dave Westerbeke. No case included. Condition: Good.
