KILLER SOUND. Prewar D-18s are what personally gets me excited every time one comes in. In my opinion these are the pinnacle of acoustic guitars. This one is a 36 with the highly desirable 1 3/4 nut width and high X forward shifted bracing. It retains the original finish, pickguard, tuners and is actually housed in the original case. There is an extremely well repaired center seam crack, one near the treble side of the fingerboard, and another below the bridge near the A string. David Musslewhite installed replica bridge and bridge plate and Caleb Smith did a neck set within the last year. Completely straight 36 D-18s have sold this year for 60,000. No head stock crack, no heel crack, no pickup ever installed. This one is being offered for 45,000.
