1967 Martin D-18 w/original hard case #221987
Clean example, all original in excellent condition. The guitar has had a few minor repairs ('b'-string pickguard crack, one hairline back crack of about 3 1/2", one hairline side crack), and the neck was just reset, the pickguard reglued (tortoise pattern!) and the frets leveled and crowned, it is all set to go and needs nothing. There is also a plugged and touched up screw hole in the heel from a previous installation of a strap button. The original finish is in great shape, showing some crazing (particularly on the top) and a few minor nicks and dings but nothing serious. The fret board shows just a hint of wear in the first position. All of the interior bracing (including the small maple bridge plate) is original and secure, needing nothing. The action is set at 7/64" and 5/64"(12th fret) with a hair over 1/8" of saddle showing to lower the action if desired. The neck is straight under tension and the intonation is good. The tone is woody and crisp, what you want and expect in a vintage D-18. Responsive to a light touch when fingerpicked and unruly when attacked hard with a flat pick. Comes with the original 60s green-lined hard shell case. Price plus shipping, NYS buyers add 8% sales tax. $3750

Items are sold with a 48 hour approval period unless clearly marked "AS IS" in the listing. AS IS items are not returnable. If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned. Once an item is returned to Kovacik Guitars and judged to be in the same condition as when originally sold a full refund will be issued.
