2019 Martin D-18

Excellent condition featuring dreadnought body shape, Sitka spruce top with forward shifted scalloped X bracing and decorative soundhole rosette, mahogany back and sides with decorative backstripe, tortoiseshell grain binding on the top and back body edges, tortoiseshell grain pickguard, ebony bridge, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays starting at the fifth fret, bone nut and saddle, rosewood peghead veneer with gold CF Martin & Co logo, nickel plated open gear tuning machines with butterbean buttons, and original black Martin hard shell case.

This 2019 Martin D-18 is in excellent condition. This guitar appears to have been exceptionally well cared for and is just very tidy. There is just one small ding in the back of the neck at the fifth fret and some minor scratches on the peghead veneer (see photos). The neck on this instrument is very nice feeling and has a medium profile with a 1 3/4” nut width. This guitar is easy and comfortable to play. The saddle is medium height, the top is flat and the truss rod is fully operational. This guitar has been professionally set up and it plays absolutely outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low action, no buzzing and fantastic intonation.

This D-18 is one fine sounding guitar and one of the nicest sounding flattops to come through our doors recently. It has a very dry, articulate tone and thanks to its legendary design, bracing and dreadnought body shape, it also has plenty of volume. As a flatpicking instrument, this D-18 excels. It has an incredibly nice, clear high end and a very round bottom end that balance very sweetly together and will also cut. As a fingerstyle instrument, it’s smooth top end and warm lows mixed with its dryness offer articulate tones with plenty of power. This is a fantastic D-18 that will be well suited for any style of acoustic music. Not to mention, it was built in Pennsylvania by one of the world's finest instrument makers. Don’t hesitate on this one if you are searching for a great flattop.
