Here we have a 2013 Martin D-18 Authentic 1939 which is one of best modern acoustic guitars currently in production. There are more expensive or more tricked-out acoustic guitars out there, but the Martin Authentic series is all about delivering vintage tone and historic accuracy. This one has hardly been played, and though it sounds very fine out of the box, it will continue to grow in power and tone as the years roll by. These Authentic guitars get better and better the more you play them.
Nickel Waverly butterbean tuners. Super comfortable 1 11/16 inch nut width. Bone nut. Adirondack Spruce top with scalloped bracing and Mahogany back and sides with vintage gloss finish. Mahogany neck with a 25.4 inch scale length and a neck depth of .9375 inches at the first fret and 1.06 inches at the twelfth fret. Ebony fingerboard with 20 frets and a 16 inch radius. Ebony bridge with bone saddle. All hide glue construction.
This D-18 Authentic has the big, classic Martin dreadnaught sound with strong bass and trebles. Comes with the original hardshell case. A truly fine guitar for many styles from Bluegrass and Americana to Singer/Songwriter and Country Blues. A truly great modern guitar.
