Very rare "Shaded Top" with only a few pieces produced.
This is a rare Shaded Top made in 1976.

Martin's Shaded Top refers to a special finish on the top of acoustic guitars that are part of the Martin D series.
Shaded Top also creates an antique atmosphere, as the different shades of coloring bring out the expression of the wood's annual rings.

However, Shaded Top is technically very delicate and only a very limited number of craftsmen have mastered this technique.
As a result, Shaded Top guitars are extremely rare and hard to find.

The pickguard has been replaced with the same black as the original, and the body top has a crack repair along the inside of the pickguard. The end pin holes have been extended, but the pickup is not currently mounted. The overall appearance is dignified with faint weather checks.
The tone is bright, shiny, and beautiful for a mahogany/square rod. The color of this guitar has a strong presence.♪

[Condition.]
Neck and wood in good condition, all parts inspected and tuned by a professional acoustic guitar craftsman.
The neck has been straightened and tuned with no chatter or jamming, and the string height at the 12th fret is optimally set at 2.2mm on the 6th string side and 2mm on the 1st string side.
The remaining saddle is about 2mm.
