Description

This Martin D-28 Herringbone was made by Martin in 1941. When we obtained it it was in need of a neck reset, refret, and bridge work. There was also 2 open top cracks. All work was performed by Ken Fallon. The neck has been reset, and it has been refretted. He made a new bridge as well. The bridge plate is original and in fine condition. The finish is original and there is no overspray. When we got it the tuners were non original, but we sourced an original set. Everything besides the tuners, frets, and bridge is original. There are 2 repaired top cracks. One is very small, and is the pickguard crack that is routinely found between the guard and the bridge under the B string. There is also a center seam repair, which is clearly visible in the pictures. There are no back, side, or neck cracks or repairs. Overall this Martin is good shape considering its advanced age. It is in perfect playing condition and sounds wonderful. It comes with its original hard case which shows significant wear but is functional.
