Here's a nice find--this Martin D-28 sat in its case, unplayed or even looked at for over ten years. Amazingly, it lived to tell about it and survived in really good conditions. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. All original except for the case. No cracks. Not even the infamous Martin pickguard crack! Bridgeplate is in good condition. Minor fretwear on the first three frets. At one point the top had some stick-on letters spelling out ANN. You can still make out the outline of that in the right light. The back also has no cracks, but there is a bit of finish case burn. Looks like it sat on a strap or something in the case that ate its way into the finish. The action is a little high, but certainly not unplayable. For a bluegrass or country player, you'd probably leave it right where it is.
