One of the very, very best 1970s D-28s we’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something. Early-to-mid 1970s Martin guitars have often got a certain solidity that’s seen nowhere else, have a strength of tone like no others, and we always keep an eye out for s. This one is as solid as they come, in every way, and also has the rare sunburst finish on the top, hardly ever seen, with beautifully hand applied colors. It has terrific strength of tone throughout the entire range, and it's in marvelous condition as well. With its satin finish on the top and gloss finish on the back and side, it has a particularly fine and understated look, just kind of sneaks up on you and says “Yes!”. The action is as great as one could ask for in a Martin Dreadnaught, just set up in our own shop for a perfect, crisp, even feel with a standard .012 string set.
