Description

Last period of square neck, superb sounding D-45 with a rambunctious feel.

Martin / 1984 D-45

1984 is the year when the truss rod mechanism of Martin shifted from square rod to adjustable rod.

This time, we have a gem with SQ neck specification before the transition.
The body top has been moderately tinted and scratched by picking, which gives it both elegance and dignity.

The body top is made of Sitka spruce, the side backs of Indian rosewood, and the fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony.
Even at a glance, you can feel that higher-grade woods are used compared to the standard models of the time.
On the headstock, the original Martin logo Schaller pegs are shining.
The pickguard has been replaced.

Of course, the sound is of the highest quality.
The shiny and shimmering highs that occur at the start of the sound at the moment of a single stroke.
The total sound that you feel from the abundant overtones, even when it is raw sound, expands as if a spatial system Effector were applied, and the entire space around you is filled with the sound of the D-45.
When the sound is this expansive, the low frequencies are usually blurred, but this particular piece did not give off that feeling at all, nor did it have a hard sound.
It is a sound that can only be experienced with a "Martin D-45".
The sound of the 70's is as great as that of the 70's, but with a more violent nuance, as if glass was being broken.

This is an irreplaceable instrument that will let you experience the "best.
