1914 Martin style D mandolin. One of only seven ever made. The Mysterious style D was introduced in 1914 and 5 were made with outstanding Brazilian rosewood, fine position marks, engraved silver trimmings, ivory bound body and fingerboard, abalone top trim, feathery pick guard and fine purfling on the side.. two more style "D's" were made in 1917. $6,500. The most beautiful mandolin I’ve ever seen.
