Offering this cream puff 1971 Martin D12-20 12 string acoustic guitar. Serial #299477 which dates production to late 1971, The D-12-20 was Martin’s first production 12 string, introduced in 1964. A 12-fret dreadnought body and slotted headstock are the most noticeable differences between the style 20 and its style 18 sister, but the D-12-20 features fancier purflings and backstrip as well. It’s a big and deep 12 string, with a voice to match.
Mahogany back and sides, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard and Brazilian rosewood bridge, original tuners, nut, frets, and pins. The guitar is in excellent shape with no cracks, no finish wear or damage, looks like it was never removed from its original Martin slate blue hard case. Nice set-up, easy to play with low action and comfortable neck. 24.9” scale, 1-7/8” nut.
