2020 Martin HD-28

Excellent condition featuring dreadnought body shape, Sitka spruce top with aging toner and herringbone trim, East Indian rosewood back and sides, antique white binding on the top and back body edges, zigzag backstripe, scalloped forward shifted X bracing, tortoiseshell grain pickguard, ebony modern belly bridge with compensated white tusq saddle, modified low oval profile neck with high performance taper and dark mahogany stain finish, ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond and squares inlays, East Indian rosewood peghead veneer with gold CF Martin & Co script logo, bone nut, 1 3/4" nut width, nickel open gear tuning machines with butterbean knobs, Fishman electronics with internal soundhole controls and endpin jack, and original black molded plastic hard shell case.

This 2020 Martin HD-28 is in excellent nearly unplayed cosmetic condition with the exception of one very small (pinhead size) ding on the peghead that can be seen in the photos. The neck profile is noted as a modified low oval with performance taper and a 1 3/4” nut width. This neck is exceptionally comfortable in the hand and feels just right. The frets show no signs of play wear (see photos). This HD-28 plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with excellent action and great intonation. This Martin guitar sounds superb. It has a bold articulate tone with just the right amount of bottom end and a smooth top end with plenty of volume. This guitar is perfect for flatpicking and would make an exceptionally strong rhythm machine but also sounds great for fingerstyle guitar - Just a great sounding guitar for any acoustic application. This instrument is equipped with a Fishman pickup. The volume and tone controls are located inside the soundhole and are extremely easy to operate. The Fishman pickup sounds great and really adds to the usefulness of this instrument and makes it a great guitar for live performance. This HD-28 is housed in its original black molded hard shell case and is ready to make someone an incredible flattop for years to come. You just can’t beat a good Martin guitar.
