Description

This is a Lefty Martin EMP-1, # 43 of 262, made only in 1998. There were only a few lefty EMP-1's made, so this is a rare lefty Martin!

It is in EXC condition, with moderate pick scratches where the pickguard would normally be (the EMP-1 did not come with a pickguard), only a few nicks throughout, the neck is in great shape, the slightest fretware on the 1st fret - that's it! Action is within factory specs: 6/64 - High E, 7/64 - Low E(at the 12th fret).

Includes OHSC, Adam guitar pitch pipe, capo, truss rod wrench, and strap.

The Martin EMP-1 is a Limited edition 000/OM sized with cutaway. Ovangkol sides and 3 piece back (middle is East Indian Rosewood).

Created by a task team of 12 employees, the EMP-1 Employee Model is a 000/OM sized cutaway that pushes the limits of traditional Martin design. Solid ovangkol is used for the sides and the wings of the three piece back, which are contrasted with a rosewood center wedge. The black and red marquetry of the rosette is tastefully repeated throughout the guitar's design, and an abalone pearl "C. F. Martin & Co." logo adorns the headstock.
