Description

3 lbs. 11 oz.

Longtime owner of this guitar has decided to sell. This OM-28 was retopped by Martin in the early 1960's. Owner estimates it was done between 1959-61 because he remembers where he was living at the time it was done. The nut, bridge, and bridgeplate (rosewood) and non-scalloped bracing were all replaced at the same time. The original Brazilian Rosewood back and sides are still perfectly intact (zero cracks) but was refinished at this time, as well as the neck.

The Brazilian Rosewood back and sides are drop dead gorgeous. Perfectly bookmatched with amazing reddish and spiderweb graining. The sound of this guitar is as good as you would think, perfectly balanced.

Amazing fingerstyle or strumming guitar.

With 60's period Martin hardshell case.

Low E is 9/64" at 12th fret. Could be candidate for neck reset.
