Serial # 1658629. The OM-28E Retro’s vintage styling and construction paired with the revolutionary Aura+ pick up system make the Retro one of the most attractive and best sounding “plug and play” models on the market today. Recordings of instruments from the Martin Guitar museum that were made using vintage microphones are the Aura+ “pickup images” which can be blended with the unprocessed voice of the under-saddle pickup. The result is a real-sounding amplified guitar tone that stays true to the instrument’s acoustic nature.

The OM-28E Retro itself is styled vintage from head to toe and features forward shifted, scalloped bracing, a small maple bridge plate, toned top, bevelled-edge tortoise pickguard, old-style headstock logo and open geared tuners, ivoroid bindings, herringbone purflings, and zig-zag back strip. With Martin’s modern High Performance neck carve and 1-3/4” nut, the guitar is particularly attractive to fingerstyle players seeking the best in acoustic and amplified acoustic tone.

This lefty example is in beautiful condition, and was bought new from us soon after the Retro line was released. The guitar has no issues, flaws, or playwear, and is set-up perfectly. It’s a dry, woody, and open OM, with excellent articulation, power, and fundamental presence.

With original hardshell case.
