Description

One of the earliest Martin OM-42 reissues, from the very first year of production, and a stunning one at that. Still in near-flawless condition after almost twenty years, this guitar has been well-played and it sounds it, but it sure doesn’t look it. Previously owned by a very fine fingerstyle guitarist with a very light touch, there are maybe one or two tiny dings at most and it has virtually no fret wear. Has the traditional 1-3/4” nut width but with the modern low-profile neck shape, preferred by so many players today; low, extremely easy-playing action; traditional Martin scalloped top bracing; complete original-Martin Style-45 Deluxe abalone fingerboard and bridge inlay; modern drop-in style bridge saddle for better support and easier eventual pickup installation if you desire; and of course that fabulous huge, Martin tone that can only come from a genuine OM-style Martin guitar. With new ones costing nearly $5600, we consider this to be an exceptional bargain at $3995 w/ohsc
