Description

Here's a 1936 Martin R-18 acoustic archtop in Sunburst finish. Amazing playing Pre-War Martin! Serial #62629. The guitar features an arched top, mahogany back & sides, 3-piece f-holes, flat back, measuring 14-5/8″ at the lower bout, with a 24.9″ scale. There's a professionally repaired crack on the top center seam that stops at the bridge. The guitar is crack free beyond that! Playability is exceptional, with low action down the fingerboard. It's one of those guitars that's always perfectly in tune and playing great every time you pick it up.....and the neck never moves. Cannot stress how great it plays!! No neck set needed. Beautiful tone too, with lots of volume and crisp clarity. Doesn't sound thin at all. Inspiring piece of American that's impossible to put down! HSC included...
