This all original ca 1950 Martin Style 1 Concert ukulele has a mahogany back, sides, bridge and neck with simulated tortiseshell binding around front and back of the body. The twelve fret fingerboard is made of Brazilian rosewood and has four tiny dot inlays with double dots between the sixth and seventh frets. The width at the nut is 1 3/8". The nut and bridge saddle are made of ebony. The overall length of this uke is 23 1/4". The nickel friction tuners have black buttons. "C.F. Martin & Co. Nazareth PA" is engraved and visible inside the soundhole typical of all Martin ukes. The black and gold headstock logo reads "CF Martin & Co. Est. 1833." There is visible pick wear on the upper bout and finger wear above the first two frets. The finish has some weather checking and there are two small surface cracks on the upper right side of ukulele and a small half inch ding on the butt end. This uke has a bright nice tone and is a joy to play. It comes with a vintage violin hard case.
