Here's a truly wonderful find, a Very Very Near Mint and Unplayed Vintage 1981 Martin D-41 guitar that has spent the last 38 years under the bed. The original owner tells us that the instrument was a college gift that just never caught on. Save the small indent on the neckback shown, I can find no mark or evidence of any handling or play wear whatsoever. The darn thing is near perfect and sounds amazing even with the original strings still on it! It's a truly beautiful and ultra clean example.

Looks like it just came from the showroom but she's aged wonderfully in her stable place and the finish, binding, and wood have all ambered up in a most pleasing way. There is a characteristic and very very small fracture on the ebony bridge that you can barely see. The bridge is otherwise down tight and unaffected.  Most luthiers will recommend that these fractures be filled by a tricky mix of ebony dust and superglue, especially the larger fractures. But, since we understand that different collectors may have there own approach, we will leave that choice up to the new owner. We will do the repair here on request for an additional $100.

Best is the deep, drednaughty,  and distinctive voice this aged beauty has. An amazing time capsule and she's collector quality for sure and an amazing find!
A real special one for your collection!
