We just love the Martin 00-18 guitars, and especially love them when they’re more than sixty years old and as terrific and in such fine condition as this one. Has its small share of minor scratches (mostly on the bottom, where you can’t see them), shows fabulous character, and without a single crack on it anywhere. Perfect action due in part to a perfect neck reset (by parties unknown), but mostly due to its being, well, a fabulous older Martin 00-18. This model has always been the darling of the folk set, and of the fingerpicking set, and of the songwriters’ set and more, due in no small part to its wonderful size and comfort, makes you feel, as one of our more astute customers so lovingly put it, ”so secure”.
