The spruce top has a single oval sound hole that combines with the two side sound holes to produce a richness of tone and volume that calls for playing in any style or genre. The notes ring with equal clarity along the entire width and length of the fretboard, a design feat of John's that is unique in contemporary lutherie and very satisfying to hear for the musician and audience.
